Weeks Earns Second Consecutive MASCAC Field Athlete of the Week Accolade

WORCESTER, Mass. – Worcester State University’s senior thrower, Sam Weeks (Methuen, Mass.) earned his second consecutive Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) field athlete of the week accolade, as announced by the conference Monday afternoon.

 

Weeks finished first in the shot put with a top throw of 15.73m and also finished third in the 35lb weight throw with a distance of 16.48m for a season PR this past weekend at Springfield College’s Maroon & White Classic.

 

Weeks is currently ranked at the top of Division III New England standings and 8th All New England in the shot put (15.91m), and is ranked 4th in Division III New England in the weight throw (16.48m).

 

Next up, the men’s indoor track & field team travels to the Tufts Stampede on Friday, Jan. 27.
