WESTFIELD, Mass. - After leading the Lancers to a 6-2 record on their Florida Spring Break trip, Worcester State University baseball senior Michael Ferrara (Easton, Mass.) was named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week, brought to you by GEICO.
Ferrara hit safely in every game for the Lancers this week, as they went 5-0 on the week. He also scored at least one run in every game, and had a run batted in in four of five. He finished the week batting .500, with three doubles, a home run, eight runs scored, eight RBIs, and a stolen base.
Ferrara and the Lancers look to win their seventh straight game on Wednesday, with a non-conference game against Anna Maria College. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m.
