BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - Kyle Gray, a sophomore pitcher on the Worcester State University baseball team, was named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week Tuesday morning.
Gray had the Lancers' outing of the week as Worcester State went a stellar 6-2 in Florida. In a relief appearance against Husson on Friday, Gray threw 4.1 perfect innings while picking up the win on the hill as the Lancers won their fifth straight game. Gray entered a tie game with runners on second and third in the bottom of the fifth before retiring all 13 batters he faced.
Gray and the Lancers will return to action on Wednesday, facing Anna Maria on the road in non-conference action. First pitch from the New England Baseball Complex is scheduled for 3 p.m.
