WESTFIELD, Mass. - For the second time in as many weeks, Worcester State University men's basketball freshman Eddie Hassell (Milton, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week, brought to you by GEICO. The announcement came from the conference office on Monday afternoon.
The reigning MASCAC and Worcester Area College Basketball Association Rookie of the Week, Hassell had another strong performance coming off the bench for the Lancers in a loss to WPI on Tuesday. Hassell scored eight points and grabbed eight rebounds in just 15 minutes of action, going along with two steals and a block.
Hassell and the Lancers return to the court on Thursday evening, traveling down the Mass Pike to face Lasell College in Newton, Mass. at 8 p.m.
