WESTFIELD, Mass. - Bernice Mensah (Worcester, Mass.), a sophomore on the Worcester State University women's track & field team, has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week, brought to you by GEICO. The announcement came from the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Mensah is Worcester State's final MASCAC weekly award winner of the 2018-19 academic year, as the sophomore grabs her first award of the outdoor track & field season. She claimed the same award twice during the indoor season, on February 4 and February 11.

Mensah competed in the triple jump at the Williams and MIT Final Qualifiers last week. She was the third place finisher at 10.80m (35’ 5.25”) at the Williams meet, and finished in second at the MIT meet at 11.26m (36’ 11.50”).
