Windler Named LEC Defensive Player of the Week

PAWTUCKET, R.I. - Cassidy Windler (Holden, Mass.), a junior on the Worcester State University field hockey team, has been named Defensive Player of the Week by the Little East Conference for the second time this season. The announcement came from the conference office on Monday morning.

Windler was named LEC Defensive Player of the Week after registering three defensive saves in the Lancers 3-1 conference victory over Western Connecticut State on Tuesday. She now leads the LEC with six defensive saves this season. Windler previously won the same award this season on September 10.

Windler and the field hockey squad return to action on Wednesday evening, as they host Salem State at Coughlin Field. The contest is set to get under way at 7 p.m.
