Five Lancers Receive MASCAC All-Sportsmanship Honors

WESTFIELD, Mass. - Five Worcester State University student-athletes were recognized on Wednesday as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its Winter 2018 All-Sportsmanship Team.

Representing the men’s basketball team was junior Jason Truax (Northborough, Mass.). For the MASCAC Regular Season Co-Champion women’s basketball team, senior Emily Carens (Northboro, Mass.) received the honor.

The men's indoor track & field team saw senior Ryan Connolly (Braintree, Mass.) earn a spot on the All-Sportsmanship Team, as well as women’s indoor track & field team member, junior, Olivia Morin (Westford, Mass.).

Rounding out the Lancer All-Sportsmanship honors, from the men’s ice hockey team, was sophomore Matthew Manning (Novi, Mich.).

Manning receives the award for the second consecutive season, while Truax, Carens, Connolly, and Morin are all first-time recipients.
