Six Lancers Named to MASCAC All-Sportsmanship Team

WESTFIELD, Mass. - Six Worcester State University student-athletes were recognized on Wednesday as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its Fall 2018 All-Sportsmanship Team.

Representing the cross country teams were senior Joe Grider (Hopedale, Mass.) on the men's side, and sophomore Kyra Siano (North Attleboro, Mass.) on the women's side.

The MASCAC Champion women's volleyball team saw sophomore outside hitter Bekah Riley (Ellington, Conn.) earn a spot on the All-Sportsmanship Team, while Worcester State football was represented by Richie Schiloski (Upton, Mass.).

Rounding out the Lancer All-Sportsmanship honors were sophomore Vincent DeMattia (Hampden, Mass.) and junior Jenna Matthew (Auburn, Mass.) of the men's and women's soccer teams.

Grider and Matthew each earn their second Fall All-Sportsmanship honors from the MASCAC. Grider was named to the 2016 team as a sophomore, and Matthew to the 2017 team, also as a sophomore.

Siano, Riley, Schiloski, and DeMattia each earn the honor for the first time.
