Twelve Lancers Named LEC Fall All-Academic

PAWTUCKET, R.I. - Twelve Worcester State University student-athletes, representing the field hockey and women's tennis teams, have been named to the Little East Conference Fall All-Academic Team. The announcement came from the conference office on Friday afternoon.

To be named the LEC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be at least in sophomore standing in the classroom, have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the previous semester, and have been at their current institution for at least one full academic year.

Representing the Lancers from the field hockey team are seniors Michaila Parent (Westborough, Mass.), Rielley Richards (Athol, Mass.), and Jessica Wilding (Somerset, Mass.), juniors Olivia Antonelli (Westford, Mass.) and Katelyn Santos (Acushnet, Mass.), and sophomores Alexa Bobbin (Charlestown, R.I.), Sarah Duff (Warren, Mass.), and Lauren Fleming (Leominster, Mass.).

Four sophomores represented Worcester State women's tennis on the LEC All-Academic Team. Dominique Alves (Ludlow, Mass.), Emma Collings (Marion, Mass.), Victoria Konicki (Auburn, Mass.), and Monika Mularski (Auburn, Mass.) all received the honor on Friday.

In all, 329 student-athletes were named to the Little East Fall All-Academic team on Friday. The Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference will announce its All-Academic team in January.
