WESTFIELD, Mass. - The Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference announced on Wednesday afternoon that 125 Worcester State University student-athletes have earned spots on the 2019 Winter/Spring MASCAC All-Academic Team.

Student-athletes who compete in championship varsity sports offered by each of the MASCAC institutions during the course of the Winter and Spring 2019 athletic season and have achieved a 3.20 cumulative or semester-based grade point average during the semester are eligible for selection to the Winter/Spring All-Academic Team. A total of 792 student-athletes from across the conference earned spots on the All-Academic Team.

Worcester State was tied for second for most student-athletes to land on the squad, as Bridgewater State also totalled 125. Westfield State led the MASCAC with 141 honorees.

"Our student-athletes regularly impress on the court, ice, field, and track, but it is in the classroom where they shine the most," said Worcester State Director of Athletics Michael Mudd. "I am extremely proud of our student-athletes, as is the entire Worcester State community."
