Five Lancers Earn MASCAC All-Sportsmanship Recognition

WESTFIELD, Mass. - Five Worcester State University spring student-athletes have received spots on the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Spring All-Sportsmanship team, as announced by the conference on Tuesday afternoon.

The MASCAC Sportsmanship Team is intended to recognize one student-athlete from each team in every sport that best demonstrates the values of the MASCAC and its Sportsmanship Statement, regardless of their overall performance or statistics for the season. A student-athlete from each institution is selected by their coach to be placed on the Sportsmanship Team of the sport in which they compete.

Representing the Worcester State men's and women's outdoor track & field teams were junior Eddy Acuna (Newton, Mass.) and sophomore Rachel Jorge (Dartmouth, Mass.).

Junior captain Kenan Kolanda (Sterling, Mass.) represented the Worcester State baseball team on the MASCAC All-Sportsmanship team. Rounding out Worcester State's selections were freshman Molly Glynn (Abington, Mass.) from the softball team and sophomore Abby Magnuson (Ellington, Conn.) from the women's lacrosse team.
