Twelve Lancers Earn Little East All-Academic Honors

PAWTUCKET, R.I. - A dozen Worcester State University fall student-athletes have been named to the Little East Conference Fall Academic All-Conference Team. The field hockey and women's tennis programs, both affiliate members of the conference, each landed six honorees.

Representing the LEC Champion field hockey team were senior Olivia Antonelli (Westford, Mass.), junior Alexa Bobbin (Charlestown, R.I.), junior Sarah Duff (Warren, Mass.), junior Lauren Fleming (Leominster, Mass.), sophomore Ann Maher (Mansfield, Mass.), and senior Katelyn Santos (Acushnet, Mass.).

Junior Dominique Alves (Ludlow, Mass.), junior Emma Collings (Marion, Mass.), junior Victoria Konicki (Auburn, Mass.), sophomore Alyson Langhorst (Natick, Mass.), junior Monika Mularski (Auburn, Mass.), and sophomore Charlotte Mullane (Sterling, Mass.) represented the Worcester State women's tennis team on the Academic All-Conference team.

"I'm extremely proud of these 12 student-athletes," said Worcester State Director of Athletics Michael Mudd. "This fall, and throughout their time here at Worcester State, they have excelled both in competition and in the classroom. This award reflects what it truly means to be a student-athlete."

To be named the LEC Academic All-Conference Team, a student-athlete must be at least in sophomore standing in the classroom, have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the previous semester, and have been at their current institution for at least one full academic year.
