Title: | Class of 1993 |
Donna Lapriore-Potenti, your talent, drive and determination
have distinguished you as one of the most versatile athletes to
ever wear a Worcester State uniform.
You played field hockey, basketball and softball and earned 12
varsity letters. Your leadership qualities resulted in you being a
captain of all three teams. You played a key role in the field
hockey team winning three straight state championships and were the
leading scorer with 33 goals. You were named an All Star in field
hockey and basketball in your junior and senior years and you were
selected to try out for the United States Field Hockey team in your
sophomore year.
You were a guard and forward for the basketball team scoring 663
career points and also hit an impressive .388 over your four year
softball career while playing mostly in the outfield.
You were honored for your undergraduate achievements by selection
to Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities and were a
dean's list student in your junior and senior years.
You were the head field hockey coach at Holy Cross College for
five years and served as an assistant basketball coach at Worcester
State for two years. After graduation you played semi-pro
basketball and also played on a mixed softball team which came in
second and fourth in a national tournament. You continue to play
softball today.
You are currently a teacher at the Webster Square Day Care
Center.
Donna Lapriore-Potenti, it is with great pride that we induct you
into the Worcester State College Athletic Hall of Fame.
