Patricia (Ethier) Marois '77

Patricia Ethier Marois, your talent, drive and determination help. make you one of the most outstanding women's tennis players in Worcester State College athletic history. You showed your relentless desire to perform to the best of your ability while spearheading your teams to some outstanding seasons. Your leader- ship qualities were evident and you were selected a team captain in your junior and senior years. You were also a cheerleader for four years and captain of that squad for two years.

You played in the three position in your freshman year and went undefeated, the two position as a sophomore and were the number one player in your junior and senior years. As a sophomore, you reached the finals of the Massachusetts State College Tennis Tournament and twice during your career you were selected to participate in the New England College Tennis Tournament. You compiled an outstanding 50-10 record during your career, an outstanding .833 winning percentage.

Your talent and leadership qualities were not confined to the tennis court. You were honored for your undergraduate achievements by selection to the Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities. You were a class officer for two years and were Dean's list student for all four years graduating Cum- Laude. You also painted your class' winter carnival mural for four years, winning first place three times and finishing second once.

You are a member of the tennis playing Ethier clan that represented Worcester State so well and your brothers, Joe, Jack, Tim and Mike all played for the Lancers and were captains of their teams. Your brother, Jack, was inducted in the Hall of Fame last year.

You are employed in a family owned credit agency.
