Carrie Gladden was an outstanding basketball and softball player for the Lancers for two years after transferring from Salem State.

To this day, she still holds ten Worcester State College Women's Basketball records. She was named a Massachusetts State College All Star both years and led the team to two straight ECAC Playoffs. The Lancers had a 38-16 record.

Carrie also distinguished herself in softball for Worcester State College. She was a two-time Massachusetts State College All Star and a member of the team that won the ECAC Championship in 1990. The team was 41-15 in two years.

This record is a testament to Carrie's leadership qualities as she served as a captain for both the Lancer Women's Basketball Team and the Lancer Softball team.
