Sandra Gentile '76 earned 10 varsity letters while playing volleyball, basketball and softball at WSC. She was a captain of the volleyball and basketball teams. Sandra was an outstanding defensive player and rebounder and was instrumental in the Lancers winning the Massachusetts State College Basketball Championship for four straight years.

She played softball for three years and had a .372 career batting aver- age and opted to play semi-pro softball for the Waltham Drifters of the Eastern Seaboard League her senior year.

Sandra was an assistant volleyball coach at Worcester State in 1976 and also was an assistant basketball coach at St. Peter-Marian the same year. She coached basketball and softball at Holy Cross College from 1979 to 1985. She started the softball program and was instrumental in the program going from Division III to Division I. She was the head women's basketball coach at Worcester State from 1990 through 1994. Her 1990-91 team had an outstanding 19-8 record.

Sandra is employed as a manager at Spags Supply, Inc.
