Scott Holland '97
Title: Class of 2002

Scott Holland '97 was the most outstanding football player in Lancer history. He was a four-year starter, and three-year captain of the Lancers. He is the all-time leader with 440 career tackles.

Scott helped to lead the team to an outstanding 33-8 record, capped off by a 10-0 regular season in 1996. The Lancers won the New England Football Conference (NEFC) title in 1995 and 1996 and competed in post- season Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) playoffs both years.

He was named the Defensive Player of the Year in the NEFC for three straight years, 1994, 1995 and 1996. He was selected to the NEFC All Star 1st Team four straight years and was named an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) All Star three straight years. The Football Writers named him All New England in 1995 and 1996.

He was selected a Division 2 & 3 Little All-American in 1994 and named a Football Gazette All-American in 1994 and 1995. He was selected an All-American by Hewlett Packard in 1995 and 1996. He was also selected a 1st team All-American by Football Quarterly Magazine in 1996.

In 1998, he played professional football for the Munich Cowboys of the German Football League and currently plays for the Marlboro Shamrocks. He is a physical education teacher and head football coach at Bartlett High School in Webster.
