Title: Class of 2008

Kevin was a tremendous talent for the Worcester State College football program from 1998-2001. A two time captain, Kevin was a wide receiver and return specialist for the Lancers, earning All-New England Football Conference honors twice.

Kevin holds numerous records and is among the leaders in virtually all receiving and kickoff return categories. He holds the all-time mark for receiving yards in a game, going for 262 yards in a 2001 game against Salve Regina University. He is second in all-time receiving yardage with 2,365 yards on 142 catches. He is tied with several former Lancers for first in receiving touchdowns in a game with three--an effort that he achieved twice in his career.

Kevin also holds the New England Football Conference record for yards per catch in a single season, with a mark of 24.28. As a return specialist, he is the leader in career kickoff return yardage with 1,621 over four years. In 2001 he led the nation in kickoff return yardage with a 31.27 yard per return average. He ranks second in all-purpose yards with 4,225, averaging 108.2 per game. Kevin is still the third all-time leading scorer in WSC history, having totaled 164 points in his career. He was a member of the 2001 ECAC tournament team that finished the season 10-1.

In his senior season he was selected to the ECAC First Team as well as the NEFC First Team as a return specialist and second team as a wide receiver. Kevin also spent a year with the Lancers baseball team. Following his career, Kevin returned to the WSC football program as a coach for three seasons.

He is currently a National Sales Representative for Upper Deck. It is with great pleasure that we induct Kevin Gniadek into the Worcester State College Athletic Hall of Fame.
