Ultimate Lancer Award

The objective of the Ultimate Lancer Award is to recognize the team that displays excellence beyond the playing field. The award encompasses Academics, Athletics, Career Development, Personal Development and Community Service.

The goal is for teams to attend numerous events that fall into five categories and points will be awarded for each event through the entire academic year. The breakdown of each category is below:

1. Academics

  • Deans List - Percentage of team that makes Deans List for during season of play

2. Athletics

  • Spotlight Event - Each team will select the home game known as their "Lancer Game" that they would like the most support at.
  • Sign-in sheets will be at each event and points will be earned by the percentage of players who attend. You must stay at each event for 30 minutes and additional points can be accrued by creating posters and showing notable enthusiastic attire.

3. Career Development

  • Each team is encouraged to select at least one event offered from Career Services. (Ex. 50 percent of team attending = 100 points).
  • Examples include: resume workshops, career fairs, etc. Points for each career development event attended will be added together at the end of the year by the percentage of team members and then doubled.
  • Check out the Career Services website for upcoming events

4. Personal Development

  • Each team is encouraged to select at least one event that will enhance personal development. Points for each personal development event attended will be added together at the end of the year by the percentage of team members, then doubled (Ex. 50 percent of team attending = 100 points).
  • Some examples are Late Night Lancer Events, speakers on campus, alcohol awareness events, etc. All other possible events of interest can be found at the Student Involvement and Leadership event list.
