Jason Anderson was named an athletic trainer for the Worcester State University athletic department in 2015. As an athletic trainer, Anderson is responsible for the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries of Worcester State student-athletes.

Anderson received his Bachelor’s degree in applied physiology and kinesiology from the University of Florida in 2011, where he began his journey in athletic training. As an undergraduate in Gainesville, Anderson gained clinical experience with Division I Intercollegiate athletics, including track & field, baseball, cheerleading, and volleyball.

Upon graduating from Florida, Anderson earned his master of science degree in athletic training from Bridgewater State University in 2014. Anderson completed clinical rotations for Bridgewater State while enrolled at the university, while also completing rotations at Boston College, Brockton Hospital, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Wheaton College, and Bishop Connolly High School. Additionally, he was a graduate research assistant, and gained experience as a teacher’s assistant and guest lecturer.

Prior to joining Worcester State, Anderson worked as the Assistant Athletic Trainer at Becker College for two years. He primarily covered soccer, volleyball, field hockey, women’s ice hockey, women’s basketball, and men’s lacrosse.

Anderson is Athletic Training BOC Certified and has his Massachusetts Athletic Training Licensure. He is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and the Athletic Trainers of Massachusetts Association, and has also served an adjunct instructor in the health sciences department at Worcester State since 2016.

Anderson currently resides in Holden with his wife Wendy and his son William.
