WORCESTER, Mass. – On Saturday, September 19, the Annual Worcester State Ice Hockey Alumni Golf Tournament will be held at the Holden Hills Country Club with a 1:00 p.m. shotgun start (rain or shine).
The Worcester State Men’s Ice Hockey Program has been providing opportunities for student-athletes on and off the ice since 1965. This annual golf outing is a major fundraising event for the Worcester State University Ice Hockey team.
The Worcester State Ice Hockey Program appreciates all the support from the alumni that participate, and look to expand on that support. Associate Head Coach, John Coughlin Jr. said, “Many Alumni are still in the area and we hope to reach out and get them re-connected to the program.”
Registration is $125 for individuals and $500 for teams of four. Registration includes: 18 holes and a golf cart, dinner buffet, entry for closest- to-pin, and long drive contests. Raffle tickets will be sold at registration, as well as two mulligan’s, one kick, and a string for $10 per player. Hole sponsors will be available for $50.

Proceeds from the event will help support the program tremendously. It will help alleviate costs associated with supplies, equipment, etc. It also will help with the program’s recruiting efforts.
“We are excited about this year’s recruiting class and feel the program is heading in a positive direction,” said Coach Coughlin.
