Minneapolis, MN --- Senior teammates Bryan Narcisse (Medway, MA) and Casey Hippert (Douglas, MA) were both selected to the D3football.com All-East region team in a vote by a panel made up of sports information directors from around the region.

Narcisse was the only player from New England to be recognized on the First-team as a defender and one of three regional student-athletes overall as center Joe Magardino (Chappaqua, NY) of Trinity and offensive guard sophomore Elliot Tobin (Minnesota, MI) were the other two.

En-route to All-Division II/II New England Writers team laurels and a spot on the All-MASCAC First-team, Narcisse finished his final campaign with 83 tackles (53 solo) while leading the region in sacks (12.5) and tackles for a loss (21.0).

Entering the week of the Division III National Semifinals, Narcisse is still ranked among the nation's best with the fourth-highest average sacks (1.25) and the ninth best average tackles for a loss (2.1) while his solo tackles per game are 75th (5.6).

Among active career leaders, Narcisse is second with 33 sacks as 28 of them have been unassisted over the course of his 41 career games.

Narcisse was also a 2012 D3football.com Second-team honoree after a solid sophomore campaign.

Hippert earns D3football.com Second-team honors for the second consecutive year and he was the lone tight-end to receive a nod on the Division II/III New England Writers team.

With squad-highs of 50 receptions for 764 yards and five touchdowns, Hippert was among the top ten in the MASCAC in each category and he was sixth in the league with 84.9 yards per contest.

In the latest NCAA Division III rankings, Hippert was second at his position in total receiving yards and average receiving yards.

Hippert will go down as one of the best pass catching receivers to don the Blue and Gold uniform as he boasts the second-highest receiving yards in a season (2,598 yards), the third-most receptions (159) and he is fourth with 20 touchdown catches.

Since 2008, Worcester State has had nine student-athletes recognized by the national football website. Both should be under strong consideration for D3football.com All-American honors, which will be announced on Friday, December 19 during the Stagg Bowl preview show.

Others from the MASCAC who were honored with D3football.com All-East recognition include Olajuwon Dickerson (Milton, MA – DT), Kevin Donahue (Norfolk, MA – S) and Nick Stanfield (Everett, MA – C) of Framingham State and Matthew Green (Stoughton, MA – WR) of Bridgewater State.
