N. Dartmouth MA ---   Freshman Katelyn Carmody (Shelburne Falls, MA) has been selected Little East Conference Field Hockey Rookie of the Week for her efforts in leading Worcester State to a 2-1 record in the last week.

Carmody registered 10 points on four goals and two assists which included a hat-trick and a helper for seven points in a 7-2 win over Fitchburg State to go with one marker in a 3-2 victory over Anna Maria for their school-record breaking 50th tally on the season.

As of this last week, Carmody is currently tied for seventh in the LEC with eight assists while she is also tied for 15th in goals (8) and in the top 20 in points (24).

On the campaign she has helped the Lancers shatter team records in goals (59), assists (42) and points (160). WSU has the third-best scoring offense in the LEC and they have dished out the second most assists in the 12-team league.

Worcester State (10-7, 3-7 LEC) closes out their season with a must-win game against Eastern Connecticut on Saturday at home in a 2 PM meeting.
