Worcester State University Field Hockey Team Honored on Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III National Academic Team

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Worcester State University field hockey team has earned a spot on the Zag Field Hockey/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Team, as announced by the NFHCA Thursday.

 

The National Academic Team Award recognizes those institutions that achieved a minimum team grade-point average of 3.0 during the first semester of the 2016-17 academic year.

 

Swarthmore achieved the top team GPA in the nation with a mark of 3.72 in the first semester. Mount Holyoke and Springfield each posted a GPA of 3.68, while Earlham came in at 3.65 and Misericordia and Simmons were each at 3.63 to complete the top five in team GPA in Division III.
