After leading her team to a winning record in her first year with the program, Kim Cosenza enters her second season as the Worcester State field hockey team’s head coach.

 

Cosenza, a Worcester State field hockey and lacrosse alumnus, brings a multitude of field hockey knowledge to the Worcester State Athletic program. Most recently, Cosenza played field hockey for Club Pinjacker in the Netherlands from 2014-2015.

 

Prior to her international playing career, Cosenza was the head coach at Elms College where she took a team with a 0-17 record, and bounced back in the next season, eventually guiding her team to a spot in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championships game. She also coached at Springfield College, and was involved in numerous Field Hockey camps in the Northeast area.

 

With a Master’s of Physical Education in Athletic Administration, Cosenza was a professor at Elms College where she designed and implemented health, fitness, and wellness lesson plans to her students. She continues to strive to better the collegiate community, as she also works in the Academic Success office, offering guidance and support to undergraduate students at Worcester State.
