Westfield, MA --- Freshman Paul Brooks (Arlington, MA) has been tabbed MASCAC Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week for his standout contributions in a 68-57 victory over Framingham State.
Brooks matched his season-high with 14 points to go along with five boards and five blocks in their victory over the Rams en route to earning top rookie weekly accolades.
With his totals, the first-year student-athlete finds himself ranked 12th in the conference in rebounds (5.2) and second in blocks per game (1.5) while he leads all league rookies in both categories.
In addition to four double-digit contests, Brooks is averaging 5.6 points per game and has tallied three double-doubles in his first season on the hardwood for the Lancers.
The Blue and Gold have posted a 6-12 overall record and our 3-3 in conference play so far this season and return to action Tuesday night as they travel to MCLA for a 7:30 PM affair.
