Jobst Honored As ECAC New England, MASCAC, WACBA Player of the Week

Centerville, MA --- Senior Dane Jobst (Athol, MA) has been selected Tri-Corvais ECAC Division III New England, MASCAC and WACBA Player of the Week accolades for his standout performance in a 68-57 victory over Framingham State this past week.

Jobst netted 20 points and a season-best 20 rebounds to register his 12th double-double in 18 games this season. He added a trio of assists and two swipes while shooting 60 percent from the field (6-10) with six free throws.

He also earned Worcester Area County Basketball Association (WACBA) Player of the Week laurels for the third time this season and it marks the fourth occasion he has received a MASCAC Player of the Week certificate.

As of this past Sundays statistical rankings, Jobst led the MASCAC in rebounds per game at a 13.1 clip and is second in the league averaging 17.0 points per contest. His 12 double-doubles rank him sixth in all of NCAA Division III and total boards (235) and average (13.1) place him fourth and third in the nation, respectively.

The fourth-year student-athlete finds himself just 1.2 rebounds per contest away from the national leader who boosts a 14.3 per game average.

Jobst shares Corvais ECAC Division III New England weekly honors with senior Joshua Ford (Jersey City, NJ) of Mitchell and freshman Joey Flannery (Acton, MA) of Babson.

The Blue and Gold have posted a 6-12 overall record and our 3-3 in conference play so far this season and return to action Tuesday night as they travel to MCLA for a 7:30 PM affair.
