Men’s Basketball Takes Part in Seven Hill Charter School’s “Reading Day”

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Worcester State University men's basketball team spent Friday morning at the Seven Hill Charter School volunteering for the elementary school's "Reading Day".

 

The men's basketball players read to and with the students of Seven Hill Charter School and stressed the importance of reading to the youth.

 

"Today was a great opportunity for our players to get out in the community and make an impact on some young students," said head coach David Lindberg.  "I hope that our prescience today had a positive impact on the education of the Seven Hill Charter students."

 
 

"It's always a pleasure to give back to the Worcester community," commented senior captain, Paul Brooks.  "Getting to spend time at the seven hill charter school and reading too the kids was an awesome experience that I hope we can do again."

 
 

The men's basketball team looks forward to further events such as this.
