Men's Basketball Falls 90-65 Against Bowdoin

DANBURY, CONN. - The Worcester State University men's basketball team fell to the Bowdoin College Polar Bears 90-65 Saturday in the consolation game of the Colonial Classic.

With the loss, the Lancers fall to 2-3 on the year and the Polar Bears improve to 1-1.

Bowdoin took the lead early, outscoring Worcester State 45-30 in the first half. That lead would prove to be sufficient, but they extended it with a 45-35 second half advantage.

Will Watkins Jr. (Southbridge, Mass.) led the Lancers with 16 points. David Reynolds (Raleigh, N.C.) paced Bowdoin with 24 points and Zavier Rucker (Woodbury, Conn.) added 23 points, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals.

Up next for the Lancers is a road game against Worcester Polytechnic Institute on Tuesday, November 20 at 5:30 p.m. Bowdoin will also play on Tuesday, at the University of New England, tipping off at 7:30 p.m.
