Lancers Advance to MASCAC Semi Finals with Repeat Win over MCLA
February 25, 2025Worcester, MA- In an exciting end to the regular season, the Worcester State’s Men’s Basketball (12-13, 9-3) held on to the third seed in the MASCAC postseason after a comeback victory over the MCLA Trailblazers (6-18, 4-8). The two teams met just this past Saturday in the pivotal game that placed the Lancers as the three seed in the tournament while the Trailblazers advanced as the sixth seed. MCLA jumped out to an early lead on Saturday before Worcester State pushed through late in the second half for the 74-69 victory. With the meeting tonight, each team is looking to claim the needed momentum to advance in the MASCAC tournament. -
Lancers Come Back in Second Half to Claim Victory over MCLA
February 22, 2025Worcester, MA- With final seeding on the line and a senior day to celebrate, the final game of the Men’s Basketball season (11-13, 8-3) versus MCLA was lined up to be an exciting meeting. A victory in the day’s game would leave just a Salem State loss, to claim the second seed with the Lancers inching past with the tiebreak needed, in the MASCAC tournament that starts next Tuesday. A loss and Salem State win over Westfield would see the Lancers fall to a potential fifth seed scenario that would lead final seeding out of Worcester’s hands.

February 19, 2025Worcester, MA- in the final road season and a top seeding clinch in the line, the Worcester State Men’s Basketball team (11-12, 8-2) journey to Framingham State this evening. With a win tonight the Lancers would secure a top two finish and first round bye in the MASCAC tournament that starts next week.

Goris Leads Lancers to OT Thriller over Vikings
February 15, 2025Worcester, MA- After a thrilling second half point surge on Wednesday versus Bridgewater State, the Worcester State Men’s Basketball team (10-12, 7-2) heads Salem State looking to grab a late season win and work to solidify their top two seeding finish for the postseason. With Salem one of the Lancers two conference losses so far this season, a win over the Vikings would help Worcester State grab the first round bye in the MASCAC Tournament that starts in just over a week.

Lancers Make Second Half Swing in Pink OUt Game to Take Down the Bears
February 12, 2025Worcester, MA- Looking to grab a more solid position on one of the top spots in the postseason, the Worcester State Men’s Basketball team (9-12,6-2) is looking to make it five straight tonight as they look to complete the regular season sweep of the Bridgewater State Bears (9-13, 4-5). This will be the second meeting and full rematch of the 2024 MASCAC Championship meeting teams this season, and Worcester is prepared to set themselves up as a top contender in the conference tournament. Today’s game is also played in conjunction with the Rosen Cancer Awareness Fund created by Gregg '86 and Pam '87 Rosen, which aims to provide a robust curriculum that supports peer to peer education regarding early cancer detection. Raising Awareness in our young people, particularly Worcester State students in the field of public health, can effectively expedite these important educational initiatives to curb the prevalence of late stage cancer and increase longevity.

In their first meeting the Lancers took home the 83-69 victory and aim to do the same in tonight’s meeting.
