Grant Brown was promoted to associate head coach of the Worcester State University men's basketball team in the summer of 2020. Brown began his tenure as an assistant coach for Worcester State prior to the 2017-18 season, and was named recruiting coordinator before the 2018-19 season.
 
Along with recruiting duties, Brown is responsible for scouting opponents, preparing film sessions, practice and game preparation, and player development. He aided in the development of two MASCAC All-Conference selections, Tyler Dion and Shaun McCarthy.
 
Brown came to the Lancers after coaching at Clark University in 2016-17, where he helped the Cougars to their first winning season since the 2009-10 campaign. While coaching at Clark, his duties included breaking down film, opponent scouting, hosting individual workouts, and national recruiting.
 
In addition to college coaching, Brown has previously been an assistant boys' basketball coach at Whitinsville Christian School, as well as the head coach of teams for the AAU programs Blackstone Valley Chaos, Mass Select, and Basketball Specialists Schools. He currently is an assistant director for the youth development program Balanced Hoops.
 
The Whitinsville, Mass. resident started his coaching career after a successful playing career at Whitinsville Christian School and Norwich University. At Whitinsville Christian, he was a two-time All-Dual Valley Conference selection as well as a Worcester Telegram & Gazette Division 3 All-Star. He was a member of two Central Mass District Championships as well as the 2011 Massachusetts State Champions. Playing for the Norwich Cadets in 2013-14, he played in 23 games as a freshman, leading the team in three-point percentage and had a career high of 15 points against Colby-Sawyer on November 23, 2013.
 
Brown is a Senior Airman in the Massachusetts Air National Guard as a member of the 104th Fighter Wing.
