Men's Golf Finishes 22nd Overall At Williams Invitational

 

Williamstown, MA --- Junior Bryan Dunham (Tolland, CT) improved his score by five strokes and tied for 98th with a two-day score of 177 (+35) as he helped lead the Worcester State men's golf team to 22nd place at the Williams Invitational held at the Par 72 Taconic Golf Course.

The Lancers, who finished with a team score of 714, were just 43 strokes off of 20th place. Williams won the team title with 607 strokes and junior Eric Michalak (Glen Head, NY) of Manhatanville won the title with a card of 147 (+5).

Junior Matt Collamer (Dracut, MA) placed 102nd overall with a 175 (+37) while freshman Patrick Sharron (Boylston, MA) equaled 105th (182; +40).

First-year Brett Tetreault (Webster, MA) fired an 85 on the final day of the competition to settle for a tie for 107th (184; +42) and classmate Steven Ferraro (Leicester, MA) rounded out the five-some with a tie for 109th (185; +43).

Worcester State will compete twice in the next week starting with a dual match with Anna Maria at Blackstone National tomorrow before heading to Tekoa Golf Course to compete at the Westfield State Invitational.
