Men's Golf Places Eighth on First Day of GNAC Championships

 

Cranston, RI --- Underscored by junior David Rixham (Northbridge, MA) and freshman Anthony Bement (Attleboro, MA), the Worcester State men's golf team finished the first day of the GNAC Championships in eighth place at the par 71 Cranston Golf Course.

With a score of 355, the Lancers are just 52 shots off the lead and 45 off of the top four.

Rixham and Bement equaled 28th place with an 85 (+14) while rookie Patrick Sharron (Boylston, MA) tied for 37th (90; +19). Junior Bryan Dunham (Tolland, CT) connected for a 95 (+24) in 41st place.

Worcester State wraps up the GNAC Championships tomorrow afternoon.
