Davis Helps Men's Golf Earn First At Emmanuel Quad Invitational

 

Dorchester, MA --- Junior Jackson Davis (Spencer, MA) handed in a card of 74 (+4) to claim medalist honors for the Worcester State men's golf team at the Emmanuel Quad Invitational this afternoon at the par 70 Williams J. Devine Golf Course at Franklin Park.

With four inside the top 10, the Lancers also hoisted the team trophy with a score of 318 followed by Wentworth (326), Suffolk (338) and host Emmanuel (348).

Davis fired a 36 (+2) on the front nine before finishing the round with a 38 (+2) as his effort included 11 pars and a pair of birdies.

Right behind Davis was sophomore Patrick Sharron (Boylston, MA) who tied for second with a 79 (+9) while classmate Steven Ferraro (Leicester, MA) and freshman Quinn Indio (Acushnet, MA) placed seventh (82; +12) and eighth (83; +13), respectively. 

Sophomore Gerald Davis (Oxford, MA) rounded out the group tying for 16th overall (89; +19).

The Blue and Gold will take a break until they compete at the two-day Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship starting on Saturday, October 19.
