DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The Worcester State University men's golf team competed in the Westport Hampton Inn Invitational at the Allendale Country Club, hosted by UMass Dartmouth, this past Friday-Saturday (Apr. 13-14).

RECAP
The team winner went to Trinity who posted a 606 on two rounds of play. The Bantams finished Friday's round with a 299, and then came back on Saturday with a 307 for a cumulative 606. The runner up was Babson College. The Lancers placed 16th of 18 teams in attendance at the outing.
The individual winner of the invitational was Austin Cilley of Rhode Island College. He posted a day one score of 69 (-3) and a day two score of 77 (+5) for a 146 total.
Worcester State's top golfer was Jezierski who finished with 160 strokes in the two rounds of golf. He carded a 76 and stood tied at 14th after day one. Though, his 84 strokes on round two set him back to 36th place of 97 golfers in attendance.

The Worcester State golf team hosts the Rich Korzec Invitational on Tuesday (Apr. 17) at the Blackstone Valley Country Club.
