CRANSTON, R.I. – The Worcester State University men's golf team wrapped up spring play this weekend at the Wildcat Spring Invitational, hosted by Johnson & Wales University, and finished 16^th of 19 teams in attendance as Lancer senior Michael Jezierski (Thompson, Conn.) led the way and tied for fourth place of 99 golfers with a 150 (80-70) in the two rounds of play.

RECAP

After day one, Jezierski was tied for 27^th place with an 80 on the first round of golf. He came back on the second day and carded a spectacular 70 to move up the standings and earn a fourth place finish at the event. HE had the lowest score of the 99 golfers in attendance on day two.

Worcester State's Eddie Peladeau (Douglas, Mass.) tied for 63^rd place, Mark Clemente (Holden, Mass.) tied for 83^rd place, and Jared Gammell (Mattapoisett, Mass.) came in 93^rd place at the event.

The team winner was Husson whose team carded a 6-2 (309-293) who overcame second place on day one and jumped above Western New England for the team honors.

The individual medalist was John Abbot of Western New England who carded a 146 (+4) in the two rounds of golf. Endicott's Athan Goulas and Husson's Mackenzie Clow tied for second, while Jezierski and two others tied for fourth place.
