Men's Golf Fourth at Worcester State Invitational

SUTTON, Mass. - The Worcester State University men's golf team finished in fourth place on Tuesday as the Lancers hosted the Worcester State Invitational at Blackstone National Golf Club.

Freshman Jake Poitras (Harwich, Mass.) led the Lancers with a round of 79 on the day, finishing in a tie for sixth place overall among the 29 golfers at the event.

Juniors Mike Manning (Bridgewater, Mass.) and Connor Anderson (Raynham, Mass.) shot scores of 82 and 83 respectively for the Lancers, while junior Zach Grenon (Uxbridge, Mass.) rounded out the Worcester State scorers by shooting a 96.

Babson College won the event with a team score of 308, while Nichols College's T.J. Barber shot a score of 74 to take individual medalist honors.

Worcester State will return to action at the Hampton Inn Invitational at Allendale Country Club starting Friday morning at 10 a.m.
