WESTFIELD, Mass. - The Worcester State University Men's Golf team finished fourth at the Westfield State Spring Invitational at Tekoa Country Club Tuesday afternoon.
Leading the way for the Lancers was junior Connor Anderson (Raynham, Mass.), who shot a team best of 75, placing him tied for fourth overall. Freshman Jake Poitras (Harwich, Mass.) would finish second for the Lancers, tying for 14th overall shooting an 80.
Juniors Zack Grenon (Uxbridge, Mass.) and Brian Poillucci (North Attleboro, Mass.) would round out the scoring for the Lancers with scores of 85 and 87 respectively. The battle for second place was a tight one on the day, as Worcester State finished just two shots out of the runner up position.
The round served as Worcester State men's golf's final scheduled match of the season.
