Ice Hockey Falls 3-1 In Season Opener To Wentworth

Fitchburg, MA --- Three different players netted goals in each period to help pace Wentworth to a 3-1 triumph over Worcester State in the opening round of the IC Federal Credit Union Tournament at the Wallace Civic Center on Friday evening.

In the season opening contest for both squads, Leopard freshman Chris Sattler (E. Longmeadow, MA) fired a shot inside the far right post at the 11:37 mark to start off the contest with the 1-0 advantage.

The score remained the same until senior Kevin Crowe (Galloway, NJ) gave the Leopards the commanding 3-0 advantage with 4:59 left in regulation.).

The Lancers broke the shutout 65 seconds later when sophomore Michael Dery (Grand Rapids, MI/Ogden Mustangs) scooped in a goal off a pass from senior Jim Nenoir (Exton, PA/Philadelphia Jr Flyers).
