Stanley Selected MASCAC Ice Hockey Player of the Week

Westfield, MA --- Senior Nathan Stanley (Meriden, ID/Idaho Jr. Steelheads) has been named MASCAC Player of the Week for his outstanding performance at the IC Federal Credit Union Tournament hosted by Fitchburg State over the Weekend.

Stanley netted his first collegiate hat-trick to help lead the Blue and Gold to a 4-1 triumph over Becker while earning a spot on the All-Tournament team in the process.

Coming off his second-straight campaign leading the Lancers in points, Stanley looks to make his final season with the Blue and Gold a memorable one. In each of the last three seasons, Stanley has registered 20 goals and 31 assists in 67 games while earning a spot in the coveted 50 point club.

With his hat-trick from this past weekend, he is currently tied for 50th on the all-time list with former teammate Derek Serbon (Crown Point, IN/Tulsa Rampage) who played for WSU from 2010-13.

Worcester State (1-1) continues its season on Thursday with a non-conference warm-up against Western New England at 7:10 PM on the road. The Blue and Gold open their MASCAC slate on Tuesday, November 11 when they head to UMass Dartmouth for a 6 o'clock match-up.
