Moran’s Hat-Trick Lands Him MASCAC Men’s Ice Hockey Player of the Week Honors

WORCESTER, Mass. – Worcester State University's senior forward Mike Moran (Milford, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) men's ice hockey player of the week following great performances in the Lancers' past two games.

In a 2-0 week for the Blue and Gold, Moran tallied four goals. He scored the game-tying goal in the 3-2 comeback win over Plymouth State on Tuesday (Oct. 31) and then netted a hat-trick, scoring all three goals in the third period for the Lancers' second comeback win of the week as they defeated Franklin Pierce 4-3 on Saturday (Nov. 4).

Moran currently leads the Lancers in goals this season with five.

The men's ice hockey team is back in action this week as they host Framingham State in a Thursday (Nov. 9) night tilt, and then travel to Salem State on Saturday (Nov. 11).
