Reinstein Named MASCAC Men’s Ice Hockey Goaltender of the Week

WORCESTER, Mass. – Worcester State University's sophomore goaltender, Josh Reinstein (Woodland Hills, Calif.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) men's ice hockey goaltender of the week, as announced by the league Monday (Nov. 20) afternoon.

This past weekend, Reinstein turned away 27 shots in the Lancers' 1-0 shutout over Westfield State to help the Blue and Gold remain undefeated. This marks his fourth shutout of the season.

Head coach Shayne Toporowski commented on Reinstein's play, "He has been really focused each week and this is paying off for him and the team. He made some very athletic saves the last couple games, which is always a confidence boost to himself and the guys playing in front of him."

"Josh has a real good ability to stay grounded and reset to prepare mentally for each practice and game," said Toporowski.

The Lancers return to the ice on Tuesday (Nov. 21) when they travel to Manchester, N.H. to take on non-conference opponent, St. Anselm, in a 7 p.m. matchup.
