Moran and Weaver Represent Ice Hockey on MASCAC All-Conference Teams

WESTFIELD, Mass. - Worcester State University men's ice hockey seniors Mike Moran (Milford, Mass.) and Cody Weaver (West Greenwich, R.I.) have been named to the All-Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Second Team. The announcement came from the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.

Moran played in just 17 of the Lancers' 27 games on the season due to injury, but still finished as the team's leading scorer with 12 goals and 13 assists for 25 points. He was a three-time MASCAC Player of the Week on the season, and one-time selection to the D3hockey.com Team of the Week. He ranked second in the conference with five game-winning goals on the season, and graduates with 38 goals and 39 assists for 77 points in his four-year career.

Weaver was Worcester State's leading scorer among defensemen in 2018-19, totalling three goals and 10 assists for 13 points. A one-time MASCAC Player of the Week and D3hockey.com Team of the Week selection, Weaver had his strongest outing in a nail-biting 4-3 win over Westfield State on February 14, in which he tallied two goals and two assists. Of Weaver's 13 points on the season, 11 came in MASCAC conference games.

Fitchburg State sophomore Sascha Figi was named the conference's Player of the Year, while Westfield State's Jake Ratcliffe earned Rookie of the Year. Westfield State's Bob Miele earned Coach of the Year honors.
