BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - Mike Moran (Milford, Mass.), a senior on the Worcester State University men's ice hockey team, has been named to the D3hockey.com Team of the Week.
The announcement came late Thursday night, just hours after Moran was named number one star in Worcester State's win over Framingham State with a goal and two assists.
Moran scored two goals and added an assist in the Lancers’ win over Plymouth State last Saturday to be the first Lancer to receive national recognition so far this season. All of his three points were scored in the third period, as the Lancers broke a third period deadlock to hand the Panthers their first MASCAC loss of the season. Moran was also named MASCAC Player of the Week for the third time this season for his efforts.
Moran and the Lancers return to the ice on Saturday with a 2 p.m. road matchup against Salem State, and will be looking to win their fourth straight contest.
