1st HALF

WPI fired off three unanswered shots in the first half, before Worcester State's Andre Ipojuca (Saugus, Mass.) listed the Lancers first attempt to score in 22nd minute. The Lancers registered two consecutive shots following Ipojuca's shot on net, however, neither team was able to put a number on the scoreboard.

2nd HALF

WPI dented the scoring column on its sixth corner of the contest as Beatty served to Nemes' head six yards off the back post for the senior captain's 14th career goal in the 64th minute.

With Worcester State pushing forward looking for the equalizer a WPI clear following a Lancer corner found Beatty and Luke Reiniger (Rowley, Mass.) at midfield on a 2-on-1.  Reiniger's feed from the right side sent Beatty in alone on the goal and the sophomore buried the shot past the diving WSU goalkeeper.
