Worcester, MA - The Lancers traveled down the road to Granger Field where they took on city rivals Clark University in a Worcester derby Wednesday night. A last minute shot by Sophomore forward Jamal Mohamud (Worcester, MA) was saved by Clark's keeper Andrew DiStefano, which kept the game at 0-0 until the final whistle was blown.

The Lancers were led by Junior midfielder Manny Ramirez (Waltham, MA) and Sophomore midfielder Waseem Mahmoud, who recorded two shots each. Mahmoud also recorded a shot on goal for Worcester State.
Worcester State finished the game with 9 shots (5 on goal), while Clark recorded 22.
Lancer keeper Andy Ramirez (Waltham, MA) recorded 7 saves of 7 shots on goal , with two of them being within the final two minutes of the match, while DiStefano saved 5 out of 5 shots on goal for the Cougars.
Worcester State moves to a 6-2-3 record on the season, while Clark moves to 2-9-1.
The Lancers host Bridgewater State this Saturday in a MASCAC quarterfinal rematch from last season. Kickoff is set for 12pm at Coughlin Field. #WeAreWorcester
