Jason Willis took over the head coaching role for the Worcester State University men's soccer team in the 2010 season.

In 2016, Willis was honored as the MASCAC Coach of the Year after guiding the Lancers to their first MASCAC championship in over a decade. The Lancers also earned the MASCAC regular season title for finishing 5-2 in the league (12-7 overall). 

In 2013, Coach Willis helped direct the team to its first MASCAC Regular Season title since 2005 and the conference tournament championship game. The Lancers also advanced to the ECAC Division III Tournament semifinaels with a win at home against Mount Ida.

During the 2011 campaign, Coach Willis was honored as the Turfer MASCAC Coach of the Year for helping lead the Lancers to their first conference tournament in since 2008. Worcester State also landed its first ECAC Division III Tournament berth since 2007.

Coach Willis has professional experience as he has played center back for the Western Mass Pioneers since 2004 - 2016. Coach Willis has also served as a team captain and in 2007 he was named to the All-League First Team in 2007. In 2006, Willis's team competed for the USL Second Division National Championship. Jason has also been the assistant coach since 2013

In the 2010 indoor season, Coach Willis played professionally as a back for the Massachusetts Twisters where he was a team captain.

Coach Willis has trained high school soccer teams as a soccer coach at the Leszek Wrona Soccer Academy in Bristol, Connecticut where he has coached both indoor and outdoor leagues since 2004. In the fall of 2006 and 2007 Willis coached freshman boy's soccer team at Ludlow High while he also assisted with the varsity boys squad.

A 2004 graduate of Southern New Hampshire, Coach Willis was a member of the 2002 Division II national runner-up team as a junior and in 2003 Willis garnered All-Northeast 10 All-Conference Second Team Accolades as a senior.

Coach Willis also attended Holyoke Community College where both of his squads competed for National Championships in 1999 and 2000. While a member of the Panthers, Coach Willis was honored as a NJCAA All-American in both years.

In high school, Coach Willis was a four-year varsity starter who helped Ludlow reach three Western Mass Finals and win a pair of state championships. Coach Willis was named All-State and he was also the Western Mass Finals MVP in his senior season.
