Gibson Named MASCAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week

Westfield, MA --- Senior Terrence Gibson (Rockland, MA) has been selected MASCAC Track Athlete of the Week for his standout performance this past weekend at the Division III New England Championships.

Gibson successfully defended his 60 meter hurdle crown for the third straight year with a time of 7.98 which is currently the second fastest time in Division III and tied for seventh in Division III event history.

He also added a ninth place finish in the 200 meters (23.00) to pace the Lancers to tie for tenth in the team standings.

In the latest Division III rankings, Gibson is ranked just behind junior Luke Campbell (Brunswick, MD) who sprinted to a 7.93 this past weekend and he is tied for 11th in the 60 meters (6.93) with his time at the UMass Boston Open this past December.

Gibson will go in both events this weekend at the Open New England Championships held at Boston University against some of the stiffest competition in Divisions I, II and III.

The three-time All-American is training to finish at the top of the podium for the second time in his career as he earned the Division III 60 Meter Hurdles crown in 2013 with a time of 8.01.
