Weeks Marks Seventh Place Finish in Men’s Shot Put at NEICAAA

BOSTON – Junior Sam Weeks (Methuen, Mass.) marked a seventh place finish in the shot put event at the All New England Championships at Boston University this weekend (Feb. 27). He was one of two Division III finishers in the top eight, notching a personal record at 15.44m.

 

Freshman Marcus Vieira (Peabody, Mass.) registered a 16th place finish in the men's weight throw for a distance of 15.05m. Anthony Christo (Peabody, Mass.) came in at 18th while Weeks came in at 21st in the event.

 

Senior Duy Truong (Worcester, Mass.) placed 16th in the men's long jump for a distance of 6.63m. He also took part in the 60 meter hurdles, coming in at 21st place with a time of 8.57 in the preliminaries.

 

The group of Patrick Scheeler (Wakefield, Mass.), Marc George (Framingham, Mass.), Jeffrey Davis (Old Lyme, Conn.), and Joseph Grider (Hopedale, Mass.) participated in the 4x800 Meter Relay, marking an 18th place finish. The Lancers placed 18th in the 4x400 with a group effort from Elijah Mawejje (Woburn, Mass.), Marques Johnson (W. Hartford, Conn.), Adam Scerra (Marlboro, Mass.), and Anthony Lawson (Randolph, Mass.). With their times, both relays qualified for ECAC Championships.
