STATEN ISLAND, NY - Duy Truong (Worcester, Mass.) placed fourth in the 60 Meter Hurdles in 8.30, scoring five points for Worcester State at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships. He also came in 10th place in the men's long jump for a distance of 6.44m.
Junior Jared Barros (Taunton, Mass.) claimed a seventh place finish in the 200 Meter Dash at 22.28m. With his results, he gave the Lancers two points in the overall scoring category.
The team of Benjamin Dussault (Assonet, Mass.), Anthony Lawson (Randolph, Mass.), Truong, and Barros registered a 13th place finish (out of 20 teams) in the 4x200 Meter Relay.
Sam Weeks (Methuen, Mass.) placed 12th in the shot put with at 14.70m. HE also came in at 11th in the weight throw for a top-throw of 15.90m. Freshman Marcus Vieira (Peabody, Mass.) came in 16th in the same event at 15.10m.
Elijah Mawejje (Woburn, Mass.) tied at 15th place in the men's high jump for a distance of 1.88m.
The Lancers finished at 34th place overall out of 47 teams that were ranked.
